Subliminal Message

A subliminal message, also termed an embedded command, covert hypnosis, and subliminal hypnosis, to name a few, are all the same thing. A subliminal mesage can be a fragment, or combination of fragments within a sentence, that if spoken alone would be a direct hypnotic suggestion. These subliminal messages, or embeded commands can also be visuals strategically placed within one's surroundings to allow fior the incubation of a given idea.

A subliminal message is a powerful way to make a hypnotic suggestion to another person because people won’t consciously notice it, but it registers and has an impact at an unconscious level. In order to be effective, the hypnotherapist needs to mark his subliminal message, which means that he needs to do something different while he is providing the subliminal message. The hypnotist can mark subliminal message by changing the pitch or the volume of his voice, tilting his head, looking the person in the eye, touching the person, increasing the pressure of a touch, or pausing just before or after the subliminal message , etc. The point of the matter is to do anything different so long as one remains consistant in regards to applying your covert suggestion.


Examples follow below with the subliminal message in yellow.

Straightforward subliminal message:
"There are a number of ways to begin to drop into trance, my dear."

Shifting of Conscious Attention:
"And so I went home and let myself feel warm and comfortable all over …"

Direct Quotes:
"And he said to me, I could use this time now, to fully relax."

Speaking Generally:
"And a lot of people discover that in developing the ability to drop comfortably into trance, they learn so much about themselves."
